Is Aliens better than Alien?
One of the seminal rules in the movie industry is that sequels almost always fail to live up to the original. However, there are exceptions to every rule; The Dark Knight, T2, The Godfather Part 2 all proved to do the opposite. However, one of the most hotly contested topics has been whether the sequel to Ridley Scott's iconic horror, Alien, was better than the original. Personally, I always found that Aliens took the concept of the original and just improved on it by showing us the full force of what "the perfect organism" is truly capable of. The action, tension and effects all get heightened to a level that makes Aliens a must-watch film for any sci-fi or film fan in general. What are your thoughts?

The Fast & Furious franchise is speeding towards its finale and that kind of begs the question: Should the family bring back Paul Walker's Brian, even for a moment or two? We've already seen that something like this is possible at the end ofFurious 7. As well, his brother, who helped out with the completion ofFurious 7after Walker died in 2013,has made himself available for more assistance even as CGI has taken massive leaps forward in the last 10 years. Personally, I understand that the whole issue is a bit ghoulish and may be seen as disrespecting Walker's memory. Still, if friends and family were on board for a cameo, I would be, too, if it were handled tactfully. Thing is, we already got exactly the goodbye we wanted at the end ofFurious 7.While there are a lot of issues with bringing Brian back, my main one is thatFurious 7did it so well, we just don't need it.

Eiza González Should Be Your Next Wonder Woman
The recent casting of Aaron Pierre as John Stewart represents a major turning point in building the new DCU. However, there's a key figure whose status is still uncertain: Wonder Woman. It's currently unlikely that Gal Gadot will return to the role, meaning the Amazon Princess will probably have a new face in the DCU, and I'd like to recommend Eiza González for the role. The Mexican actress has slowly proven herself ever since her breakthrough role inEdgar Wright's 2017 action thrillerBaby Driver. This year, she cemented herself as a leading lady inGuy Ritchie's criminally underrated war comedyThe Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. González is ready to take on a major role, and who better than Wonder Woman? The 34-year-old actress already came very close to getting another key DC role, Catwoman inMatt Reeves'The Batman, but Wonder Woman might just be the role for her. What do you think? Who's your choice for the DCU's Wonder Woman?

So, intheory, the MCUBlademovie withMahershala Ali isstillcoming, though with a carousel of incoming and departing directors and several rewrites, it's officially in development hell and years behind schedule. In the middle of all this, we gotWesley Snipes doing a pretty solid job reprising his role as the vampire hunter inDeadpool & Wolverinelast year. Even though we were all excited to see Ali as Blade when it was first announced — honestly, great casting — after all the delays, who would you want to see take on the role in an MCU movie now: Ali or Snipes?

Which Actor Should Play Robin to Robert Pattinson's Batman?
I'll be the first to admit that this is a loaded question. To start with, should Robert Pattinson's Batman even have a Robin, given the grounded and gritty world Matt Reeves has established? And, if there's room for Robin in this cinematic universe, which of the many contenders from the extensive legacy of Robins should take up the mantle of protecting Gotham City alongside the Caped Crusader? With options like Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne, each potential Robin will bring their own unique story, history, and influence on how this new iteration of the Dark Knight will unfold on the big screen. That being said, should we get the famed sidekick on our screens soon — if at all, which version of Robin would you like to see, and which actor do you think would be a great fit for the part?

Should Superman Still Have Trunks on the Outside of His Suit?
Now that we've gotten a proper look at David Corenswet's suit, we know that the Man of Steel will sport his iconic briefs in James Gunn's 'Superman' film next year. When Superman was first created in the 1930s, he was based on the strongmen of that time. They would regularly wear shorts outside their skin-tight suits for modesty. But nearly 100 years later, strongmen are a thing of the past, but Superman continues to wear his shorts. I think it's a fitting nod to his origins, but what do you think? Is it time to finally put them away?

Jill Roberts is the best Ghostface in the Scream franchise
TheScreamseries has had its fair share of memorable killers, from the originals,Skeet UlrichandMatthew Lillard, toLaurie MetcalfandJack Quaid. However, the best Ghostace in the series isEmma Roberts' Jill Roberts fromScream 4. Sidney's (Neve Campbell) niece turns out to be a psychopathic, fame-hungry murderer who is willing to do everything necessary to get under that spotlight. This twist is arguably the most surprising in the franchise, largely thanks to Roberts' casting. You might know her now for playing iconic mean girls like Chanel Oberlin and Madison Montgomery, but back in 2011, Roberts was the epitome of the girl next door, best known for projects likeUnfabulousandHotel for Dogs.Scream 4changed the direction of her career, and audiences were more than a bit shocked to see she was so great at being bad. Plus, that scene where she hurts herself to make it seem as though Ghostface attacked her? Iconic, possibly the best sequence in the long-running franchise. What

Margaret Qualley will earn her first Oscar nomination for 'The Substance'
Coralie Fargeat's horror hitThe Substancekeeps surprising and overperforming in the early stages of awards season. Earlier this week, it received five Golden Globe nominations, including a somewhat surprising nod for Margaret Qualley in the supporting category. Qualley gives an incredible performance in the film, but much of the attention has been on her co-star,Demi Moore. With this boost, Qualley officially enters the race, and she might have a strong chance to make it to the Oscars. The Substanceis a bonafide hit, and it keeps hitting every mark necessary to have a strong showing come Oscar nominations. There is a case to be made for Qualley's Sue being a co-lead; however, there's also an argument for how Sue, as the film's de-facto antagonist, lacks an individual character arc and is entirely dependent on Moore's Elizabeth. Thus, her placement, while puzzling, is not necessarily controversial. It's unlikely that Qualley will win, but in this case, the nomination will be the win

Ok, let's have it — who should play Doctor Doom in the MCU?
Yes, Marvel cast Giancarlo Esposito in a secret role — maybe he's Kang. Maybe he's Doom. Maybe his Squirrel Girl (the man can do anything). But all that aside, who should play Doctor Doom in the MCU? My pick is Alexander Skarsgård — creepy when he needs to be, funny when he needs to be, charming, scary, imposing, and all the things that an MCU Doom would have to be. He's also the same general age bracket RDJ was when he picked up Tony Stark, tall and buff enough to go up against the other Avengers physically, and just a little bit weird like Benedict Cumberbatch. As Doom mixes the skills and status of Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Reed Richards, this works for me. What about you?

James Gunn, you better not make Robert Pattinson's The Batman a part of the DCU...
After James Gunn confirmed The Batman Part 2 was delayed for a full year — meaning we won't see it until at least 2027 — rumors began to erupt that there could be plans to make Robert Pattinson's version of Bruce Wayne a part of the budding DC Universe. But knowing Gunn already announced plans for a Batman and Robin film (The Brave and the Bold), any attempt to put these pieces together is evidently not part of the original plan. And while someone could come up with a great idea to bring it all together (please, leave the Flash out of it), it would rob Matt Reeves' interpretation of the Caped Crusader of the crucial element that works so well. The film's gritty, noir-soaked realism would be severely undercut if we learned meta-humans who wear red underwear are soaring the skies with cape-clad super dogs. Please trust the audience because we can handle two different Batman characters. We grew up on superhero comics, cartoons, and now decades of reboots and crossovers. Let Reeves cook...

Which Actor Should Be the Next James Bond?
James Bond, like Batman or Superman, is an iconic role passed from actor to actor, generation to generation. Since Daniel Craig hung up his martini shaker, speculation about his successor has been persistent and unrelenting. From Henry Cavill to Tom Hiddleston, fans have eagerly tossed their favorites into the ring for the coveted license to kill, but in the end, there can only be one. With over $7 billion in box office revenue across the franchise, the stakes for casting the new Bond have never been higher. My list of hopeful picks for the next 007 is a mile long with every name you can imagine on the list, from Aaron Taylor-Johnson to Jonathan Bailey, Aaron Pierre, Theo James, and Tom Hughes. While the wait continues and speculation grows, who do you think should step into the shoes of the world's most famous spy?

Amy Adams is the best actress of her generation
Amy Adams just turned 50, and her acting legacy is already mightily impressive. The six-time Oscar nominee has given us masterful performances in pretty much every genre under the sun; she was a lively princess inEnchanted, the embodiment of virtue in Doubt, a badass working woman inThe Fighter, and a tortured soul inNocturnal Animals. Adams' versatility and willingness to take risks and always defy conventions and expectations make her the best actress of her generation. Her two best performances, as the cerebral linguist Louise Banks inArrivaland the self-harming alcoholic Camille Preaker inSharp Objects, show not only a remarkable emotional intelligence but an openness to tackle the deepest and often darkest aspects of the human condition. Many other actresses from her generation — Charlize Theron, Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Chastain — are also absurdly talented, but

What Is Your Favorite Eddie Murphy Movie?
My personal favorite Eddie Murphy movie(s) are the first two Shrek movies. While yes they are animated, and yes Donkey is a supporting character, Murphy's personality and charisma shine so bright. It's easily one of the best roles of his career. However, if I can't pick a voice-over role, then I'd have to go with the original Beverly Hills Cop. I remember watching this for the first time and being surprised at how much the movie blended the action and the comedy. Unlike some of the action comedies that come out now, the first Beverly Hills Cop isn't afraid to be dark and gritty, the humor all comes from Murphy's incredible delivery (and of course Bronson Pinchot's Serge).

Is Chris Pratt's career cooked?
Chris Pratt has some movies on the way,The Electric StateandMercy, but are you really all that interested in them? Sure, there's bound to be more Mario andmaybesequels to Garfield,The Tomorrow War, and a return to the MCU — but, yeah, you've got to wonder if, between all these various missteps and his almost inescapable presence a few years ago, if Chris Pratt is kind of cooked as a major star for now. Like, is anyonedyingto see his next movie? I don't know that they are. Is this guy's time as a big, movie-opening star over, or is he just in hibernation?

What is Stanley Kubrick's best film?
It's like picking the best rose, right? I'm not going to deny away from my repeated, endless viewings of the 'The Shining' or the cult of theorizing around it. Nor am I going to say that there would be anything wrong about claiming his best film was 'Barry Lyndon,' '2001: A Space Odyssey,' 'Full Metal Jacket,' 'Dr. Strangelove,' 'The Killing,' 'A Clockwork Orange,' or any of his six other movies (he made so few if you think about it). But if I had to pick a single film, it's one of his more conventional outings, 'Paths of Glory.' While not as technically brilliant, visionary, or influential as some of his other works, it's a movie with a very sharp point and a sharper edge — a film with a clear, undiluted human message we all should hear. Sometimes, a director's best work isn't their most awe-inspiring. Sometimes, it's the most necessary. What's your pick?

What Disney or Pixar animated movie should get a ride at Disneyland or Walt Disney World?
Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar have so many great stories and characters that are beloved. From 'Encanto' and 'Moana' to 'Zootopia' and 'Big Hero 6' to 'Turning Red' and 'Luca,' the possibilities are still endless, as far as what could be added in the future. Some are already in the works. And while it's great to see representation of some of the mentioned titles with live entertainment or as part of a parade or fireworks show, that's still not the same as a ride or even an entire land. Personally, I would love to see a ride representing 'Encanto,' Casa Madrigal, and Mirabel's family, or a water ride for 'Luca' that represents the half-human, half-sea monster characters. Tiana and her animal friends from 'The Princess and the Frog' are now represented with a celebration of New Orleans culture and music in Tiana's Bayou Adventure. What Disney Animation or Pixar story and character would you love to see, in a ride or land at Disneyland or Walt Disney World?

Henry Cavill seems down to move on from all the DC stuff and Warner Bros. seemsverydown to never work with him again. He's got a lot of things brewing, but we all know that — if he's into it — he would put it all on hold for the right MCU role. So, what's it gonna be? A second go asCavillrine? Could be cool, but I think he'd be good elsewhere, too. Cyclops, therealDoctor Doom (don't tell me they're gonna use Robert Downey Jr. the whole time), a new Magneto, Mr. Sinister, Mephisto, Ghost Rider — there's a lot of ways this could go here. Got any more?

James Norton Should Be the Next James Bond
The conversation surrounding who the next James Bond will be is evergreen. Following Daniel Craig's fifteen-year tenure, theBondfranchise took a much-needed breather, but the time soon comes for it to return to movie theaters around the world. When it does, the underrated James Norton should 100% be wearing the tux. Norton, who's been active for over a decade in movies and television, is a remarkably gifted performer capable of being convincing as both a charming romantic lead, like inLittle Women, and a cold-blooded criminal, like in the riveting crime seriesHappy Valley. He has the range to be both intimidating and dashing, precise yet alluring; moreover, Norton should already be a huge star, and a role like 007 could finally take him to the A-list. What do you think? Who is your choice to be the next James Bond?

What is the best Godzilla movie?
It's been a big year for cinema's most iconic monster, Godzilla, with more people discovering the outstanding Godzilla Minus One and getting completely swept up in his latest cinematic incarnation. Though not quite as good as something like Shin Godzilla, it still saw the creature smashing to bold new heights. There also is the continued rollout of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which recently began streaming on Max, but that's mostly just the equivalent of "we have Godzilla Minus One at home." Still, it raises an important question: what is the best Godzilla movie? There are a whole lot to choose from, dating all the way back to the original 1954 Godzilla, but we want to hear only about the best of the best. Make your case below why your movie smashes the competition underfoot.
