Tips for the baked salmon casserole with spinach recipe

  • If you like your food spicier, combine the spices with the cream cheese before spreading on salmon. Nothing prevents you to add a tablespoon of hot sauce to the mix!
  • If you have more time available, let the salmon marinate for longer.
  • You can add mozzarella cheese toward the middle of baking time if you like it gooier.

What to serve with the spinach salmon casserole?

Cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles, or roasted asparagus will make a perfect choice if you’re on a low-carb diet. Rice, pasta, or bulgur will also make nice additions to this baked salmon casserole. If you want to stay on the lighter side, try this creamy salmon casserole with a crisp salad.

How and how long to keep the baked salmon casserole leftovers?

You can keep the baked salmon casserole leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Gently reheat in the microwave or in the oven, covered.

Can we use frozen salmon for the casserole?

Yes, but you should thaw it overnight before using it for the recipe. Baking frozen salmon straight from the freezer will result in burnt cheese and spinach while the salmon is way undercooked.

Pretty good! I didn't have any mozzarella so I used some Mexican mix I had. I definitely think it'd be better with moz. No fresh parsley either. I only baked mine for about 15 minutes and pulled 165F+ temps, but my fillets were a little thinner. I think next time I'll put a little more spinach on it too. Thanks for the receipe!
