Once fall hits, I’m exceptionally giddy about two things: socks and soups.
I take out my beloved Le Creuset (in Carribbean blue) and start slow cooking. I’m all for any meal that can be made in one pot, and these soups and stews are just the ticket. Not only do they do all the work, they make epic leftovers that only get better with each passing day, as all the flavors continue to mingle. They’re also comforting, and are the best way to keep warm on a chilly night.
Here are 15 of my favorite slow cooker soups and stews from the web. From hearty chilis, to an indulgent ramen, to a nostalgic lemon chicken stew, these dishes are guaranteed to keep you warm from head to toe!

Hi, Hayley, thank you for the compilation. Me myself is a great great admirer of your blog and the soups you have gathered here definitely warm my soul. One of my favourite soups is tomato one – I’ve once tried a variation of it cooked differently – in the oven. Heard that the famous French onion soup is made this way. Anyway, it turned out really delicious and I wanted to share the recipe with you. Greets from cloudy London!

Don’t advertise as slow cooker when they don”t use a slow cooker Misleading

Hi Nan, than you for pointing out our error with this! We aren’t sure how the fact that a good chunk of these recipes aren’t slow cooker recipes escaped our brains. We’d like you to know that we have swapped out the ones that weren’t slow cooker recipes with ones that are.

Do you have the recipe for chicken soup with butternut squash and quinoa? I saw the picture here, but I can’t find the recipe.

Hi Emily! We actually edited it out of the roundup because we realized it wasn’t a slow cooker recipe (we weren’t able to edit it out of our header collage). Here is the recipe though!
